Forms Required - Nulirt batch list or NPHL Test Request Form (completed in entirety) must accompany the specimen to include the following information: symptoms and date of onset, pregnancy status, travel and vaccine history. Testing will not be performed without all required information.

Collection Device: Standard urine collection cup as soon as possible after an exposure incident (within 48 hours if possible)

Storage/Transport:

Freeze immediately and transport on dry ice. Keep frozen until analysis

 
Unacceptable:
  • Low volume (<1.5 mL)
  • Inappropriate storage temperature
  • Damaged collection containers
 
Specimen Stability: Up to 3 years at -70 ºC  
Reference Interval: Organophosphorous Nerve Agents are not normaly found in humans.
